Water Nymph Dell
Wentworth Falls Lake – Picnics, walks, kayaking and swimming.
The Charles Darwin Walk (reopens end of 2023) – Retrace the footsteps of arguably the world’s most famous naturalist who undertook this walk in 1836 on his world voyage aboard the Beagle!
This is also the starting point of the Great Blue Mountains Walking Track to Katoomba and beyond.
Nature Track – Starts at the Conservation Hut at the Valley of the Waters. The track takes in a variety of vegetation and landscapes with stunning views.
Undercliff and Overcliff Tracks – Walks with stunning views of Wentworth Falls and the Jamieson Valley. The Undercliff Walk can be extended to take in Rocket Point and Lincoln Rock with a return to the Picnic Area at Wentworth Falls. Here Australia’s ‘green’ Grand Canyon is on show.
Valley of the Waters – The walk takes in seven waterfalls but the most significant are Empress Falls, Sylvia Falls and Britannia Falls.
Leura and Katoomba (5 to 10 minutes drive from Silvermere)
Everglades National Trust Gardens – one of the most famous gardens and views in the Mountains. Constructed in the 1930’s by local landscape architect Paul Sorensen, the gardens cover 5.2 hectares. Not to be missed is the Art Deco summer house constructed in the gardens.
Leura Cascades and Gordon Falls – easy walks, picnic area and playground and start of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk that takes you to the Three Sisters.
Night Walk Katoomba Falls and Katoomba Cascades – A spectacular walk from Katoomba Falls to the Cascades is illuminated at night. Stunning views of illuminated sections of escarpment and waterfalls.
